Il maresciallo Topponi si presenta una mattina nel grande negozio di tessuti del cavalier Pezzella, per un accertamento fiscale. Su consiglio del consulente fiscale, il negoziante tenta di corrompere il maresciallo, mandando dei vistosi regali….ad un indirizzo sbagliato. Avendo saputo che il maresciallo è un appassionato cacciatore, lo raggiunge una domenica mattina in pieno assetto di caccia, ma gli combina tanti guai da farselo nemico. Al ritorno dalla caccia i due uomini hanno un incidente che li costringe a farsi ricoverare all’ospedale: qui, insieme per forza, scoprono che la figlia dell’uno ed il figlio dell’altro si amano, ma il maresciallo non vuol sentir parlare di questo idillio. Ripresa l’ispezione, il maresciallo raccoglie materiale sufficiente, ma il commerciante riesce ad impadronirsi della sua borsa, contenente il verbale dell’inchiesta ed i documenti. Nel rimorso di poter compromettere la carriera dell’ufficiale, il negoziante, seguendo il consiglio del parroco, restituisce la borsa : questo gesto ristabilisce tra i due relazioni amichevoli, permettendo anche ai figli di poter coronare il loro sogno. La multa, quando verrà, sarà in qualche modo sistemata.

A submarine newly commissioned is damaged in the opening days of WW II. A captain, looking for a command insists he can get it to a dockyard and captain it. Going slowly to this site, they find a stranded group of Army nurses and must take them aboard. How bad can it get? Trying to get a primer coat on the sub, they have to mix white and red in order to have enough. When forced to flee the dock during an air attack, they find themselves with the world’s only Pink submarine, still with 5 women in the tight quarters of a submarine.
