It is 1942 and the German submarine fleet is heavily engaged in the so called “Battle of the Atlantic” to harass and destroy English shipping. With better escorts of the Destroyer Class, however, German U-Boats have begun to take heavy losses. “Das Boot” is the story of one such U-Boat crew, with the film examining how these submariners maintained their professionalism as soldiers, attempted to accomplish impossible missions, while all the time attempting to understand and obey the ideology of the government under which they served.

Edward Carnby (Slater), detective of the paranormal, unexplained and supernatural, investigates a mystery (the recent death of a friend) with clues leading to “Shadow Island” that brings him face to face with bizarre horrors that prove both psychologically disturbing and lethal, as he discovers that evil demons worshiped by an ancient culture called the Abskani are planning on coming back to life in the 21st century to once again take over the world… and only he and a young genius anthropologist with an incredible memory (and his ex-girlfriend), Aline Cedrac (Reid), stand in their way, at a gateway to hell. Standing in Carnby’s way, however, is the impact that a brief encounter with an evil spirit called the Queen had upon his mind, as he slowly finds himself overpowered by the forces of darkness as they eat away at his very sanity…

Criminal profiler and psychologist Dr Helen Hudson (Sigourney Weaver) becomes entangled in the deadly mind game of a vicious copycat serial killer Peter Foley (William Mcnamara). Due to the horrific attack Helen suffered in her past as an agoraphobic she is confined to her apartment. The killer uses this against her in his murderous attempts to become a famous serial killer. Detectives M. J Monahan (Holly Hunter) and Reuben Goetz (Dermot Mulroney) they have the challenge of trying to capture the killer before he kills again and uses his chance to commit another atrocious murder.

A cowardly boy who buries himself in accident statistics (Maculay Kulkin) enters a library to escape a storm only to be transformed into an animated illustration by the Pagemaster (Christopher Lloyd), & work through obstacles from classic books to return to real life.

Susan Stevenson (Ursula Andress) and her brother Arthur (Antonio Marsina) get off a plane somewhere in South America, allegedly in search of her husband. They team up with, Dr. Edward Foster (Stacy Keach). The three head into the jungle, get in more than a few fights amongst themselves, and view lots of gratuitous animal cruelty, notable an iguana getting eviscerated.

A loving father explains the value of promise and believing to his two boys trough the story of young Mike and his kid brother Bobby, who being abandoned by their dad had to move with ma and German shepherd Shane to a rural town where the local kids, lorded by abusive older scamp Victor Hernandez, consider them intruders ’stealing’ their predecessors’ place. Alas the friendly sheriff Daugherty, whose protection they politely wave, will have to act against a far worse bully, ma’s new lover who expects to be called the king and belts Bobby’s back brutally when drunk in the garage, a secret the boys want to keep secret for finally happy ma. The superstitious brothers spend their time exploring, pulling a wheeled red wagon called Radio Flyer, which name finally inspires a desperate ‘magical escape’ attempt…

Young poetess Rose Elliot buys a book from a local antique dealer, a diary in Latin of an architect, E. Varelli. She learns of the Three Mothers, and believes her apartment building is one of their houses. She pleads her brother Mark, who is studying musicology in Rome, to come, because she is afraid. Mark’s friend Sara reads her letter, which he left behind in class, and discovers the school is run by the Mater Lacrimarum, and is killed for this knowledge. The house of Mater Suspiriorum has already been destroyed, and by the time Mark arrives in New York City, he is investigating his sister’s murder.

Four horror/science-fiction segments directed by four of Hollywood’s famous directors based on TV’s most popular anthology series, bookened by a funny and scary prologue and epilogue featuring Dan Aykroyd and Albert Brooks. In the first story directed by John Landis (a vague remake of the Twilight Zone episode “A Quality of Mercy”) a loud-mouthed bigotted businessman (Vic Morrow) with an intense hatred for Jews, blacks, and Asians, gets the tables turned on him when he walks out a bar and is inexplicably transported back in time to being pursued by Nazis in 1940’s France, then as an African-American at a KKK rally in the 1950s Deep South, and as a Vietnamese in 1960s Vietnam. The second story directed by Stephen Spielberg (a remake of ‘Kick the Can’) an old man (Scatman Crothers) arrives at a retirement home and makes the wishes of the residents come true when he magically transforms them into youthful incarnations of their days gone by. The third story directed by Joe Dante (a remake of ‘It’s a Good Life’) a young woman on the road (Kathleen Quinlan) gives a ride to a mysterous 10-year-old boy (Jeremy Licth) to his house and ends up trapped with other people in an alternate reality created by the boy’s imagination. The fourth story directed by George Miller (a remake of ‘Nightmare at 20,000 Feet) stars John Lithgow as an passenger on an airline whom sees, but cannot convince anyone, a mysterious creature on the outside wing of the airplane trying to sabotage the aircraft.

The third chapter of the Apes saga. Two intelligent simians from the future, Cornelius and Zira travel to present-day Earth. They become instant sensations, wined and dined and treated like celebrities — until a high-level plot forces them to run for their lives!
