Scientists re-discover Creature! Creature discovers lust! The “Creature From The Black Lagoon” is back and this time he’s shipped to Marineland in (north) Florida for study. While in the aquarium he spies the love of his life. Naturally, the creature escapes in pursuit of beauty, down the St. Johns River, all the way to Jacksonville where he kidnaps his love from a downtown waterfront hotspot (dig the neon skyline in the background).

Film adaptation of street tough Jim Carroll’s epistle about his kaleidoscopic free fall into the harrowing world of drug addiction. Dennis Clegg is in his thirties and lives in a halfway house for the mentally ill in London. Dennis, nicknamed “Spider” by his mother has been institutionalized with acute schizophrenia for some 20 years. He has never truly recovered, however, and as the story progresses we vicariously experience his increasingly fragile grip on reality.

After an airplane trip, a young woman asks Susie’s husband, Sam, to keep a doll for her to avoid spoiling the surprise of her daughter’s gift. But the real reason is to avoid her partner, Harry Roat, whom she hopes to cheat of the drugs hidden in the doll. Harry discovers her treachery, murders her and leaves the body in Susie’s apartment, where he has tracked Sam and the doll. He concocts an elaborate plan, involving Mike and Carlino, small-time hoods, to get Susie, who recently lost her sight in a fire, to reveal the doll’s hiding place. They lure Sam away and take advantage of Susie’s blindness, posing as an old friend, a police detective, and a father-son pair of eccentrics. Susie eventually catches on and, with the help of her young neighbor, Gloria, shows everyone that she is indeed “a world-class blind lady.”

Massoud Amir Behrani, an Iranian immigrant, has spent most of his savings trying to enhance his daughter’s chances of a good marriage. Once she is married, he spends the remaining funds on a house at an auction, unwittingly putting himself and his family in the middle of a legal tussle with the house’s former owner.
