Daniel is new in town, and is getting picked on by the local bullies, who all are adept in karate. Determined to stick up for himself, Daniel begins to teach himself karate, only to discover that the caretaker at his apartment seems to be a grand master in karate. Danny met Sandy during the summer holiday and now she’s moved to the area and to his school, Rydell High. Sandy doesn’t fit in with the ‘cool’ scene, and the Pink ladies, “Look at me I’m Sandra Dee, Blessed with my virginity” sings Rizzo, the Pink Ladies leader. A rival gang Scorpians want to race the T Birds car (”Go Greased Lightening …”). Also there’s a National Dance TV show coming to Rydall High … There are a couple of rival suitors to Sandy and Danny, to liven the relationship up. And ‘oh yes’ - Graduation.

This movie is about Nancy Drew going to Los Angeles California with her father, who was going there on business. While she was there she happened upon a mystery that involved a murdered movie actress, and her daughter. Nancy found out her her daughter was, when nobody even knew that the actress had any kids, and the actress’s daughter inherited all of the actress’s money. At the end of the movie, once they got back home, Ned and Nancy kissed for what I think was their first actual kiss, and right after their quick kiss Nancy’s father told her that she had a call from some people in Germany, who were talking about the Loch Ness Monster.

Rachel comes to stay with her Grandmother Georgia for the summer leaving some obvious problems behind at home. Her alcoholic mother doesn’t even stay the night before rushing back out to California to be with her husband. Rachel shakes up the town, a beautiful girl in the boring Mormon country.
